Ghibli & Ghibli S Q4
Few Pleasures can match the excitement of driving a Maserati. Finally, you can experience that enjoyment everyday with the new Maserati Ghibli, the luxury-sport sedan from Italy's most renowned maker of grand touring automobiles. The Ghibli delivers excitement whenever you settle into its sumptuous interior and take the wheel, combining sporting performance with luxurious comfort, all designed to make inspirational motoring an everyday experience.
The Maserati Ghibli is a masterpiece of design, a perfect balance of refined elegance and sportiness with style that could only come from Maserati. The Ghibli blends sleek lines and perfect proportions together in a personal performance sedan that makes a powerful statement about the individuality and sophistication of its owner.
The Maserati Ghibliis distinguished by a defining design detail: the distinctive Maserati grille. With bold vertical bars inspired by the current GranTurismo, it recalls the A6 GCS Berlinetta, a classic Maserati of the past. The grille's traditional oval shape narrows at the top, where it meets the aggressive front headlights, which make skillful used of LED daytime running lights to emphasise the car's powerful persona. Continuing along the side, two curved lines merge together before giving way to the muscular rear end.
Here the tapered design of the trunk is the natural continuation of the cabin, whilst the two LED tail lights provide continuity with the wheel arches. The triangular C-pillar and the frameless door windows give the Ghibli the appearance of a sleek and agile sports coupe, even though its length and wheelbase are amongst the longest in its class.
The Maserati Ghibli combines a dramatic presence and unmistakable Italian style with truly impressive amounts of space inside. The long wheelbase enhances the Ghibli's elegant profile, while providing its driver and passengers with one of the roomiest and most comfortable interiors in its class.
In the Maserati Ghibli, special attention has been paid to seating, front and rear. The supportive design underscores the Ghibli's sporting intent, while ensuring the highest levels of comfort for occupants. The seats are upholstered in soft, supple leather that is optionally available on the dashboard and doors in dual-color combinations to enhance the owner's personality. The rich texture and exquisitely stitched seams reflect the finest traditions of Italian craftsmanship.
The Ghibli's contoured dashboard surrounds the driver and passengers, creating a sophisticated atmosphere where performance and luxury converge in the cabin's centerline, housing the traditional oval Maserati clock with its blue dial and aluminum markers and hands. Conveniently located below is a large, 8.4-inch Maserati Touch Control display, which readily accesses the latest in-car entertainment system and provides user-friendly control of onboard features. Driver functions are controlled via a carefully-designed control cluster adjacent to the 8-speed automatic gear lever, giving the driver the ability to immediately change transmission, suspension and sport functions-with a single touch.
The optional premium surround-sound system has been created specifically for the Maserati Ghibli in association with sound specialists, Bowers & Wilkins. A 1280-Watt amplifier delivers formidable power to 15 speakers located in the dashboard, doors and rear shelf, each seamlessly integrated into the Ghibli's interior to deliver the ultimate in acoustics.
The Harman QuantumLogic® Surround Sound processing system reproduces every subtle note to perfection, with unparalleled dynamic purity.
In creating the new Ghibli, Maserati engineers drew from the experience of the company's highly acclaimed GranTurismo coupe, and from lessons learned in competition and racing victories. They began with the heart of every Maserati automobile-the engine under the hood. The Maserati-designed, class leading, twin-turbocharged V6 engines-mated to a quick-shifting ZF 8-speed automatic transmission-produce impressive power and immense torque across a broad range of engine speeds, delivering smooth and instant power under every driving condition. Matched with state-of-the-art chassis engineering, sophisticated multi-link suspension and high-performance brakes, the Ghibli delivers exhilaration that only Maserati drivers can enjoy.
